I'm currently working with 15 other people on a graphic novel. It's such an enormous amount of work, it's difficult for me to imagine writing and drawing one on my own. Although if I did a solo project, it's *possible* I would argue less with myself about minor plot points. Possible, that is. We'll see.

On the one hand: Here I am, learning Yiddish, writing stories, and drawing a ton of pictures of Jews. But alas! I am in the middle of a bunch of rural farmland and will have no way to scan them until late July.

So far in my first year of college, I'd thought I was doomed to upload my art only while home on vacation. Today, I found the public scanners in the library. It's not like I don't use the library constantly. They were pretty much in front of my face the whole time. Long story short, expect some Valentine's Day art.

I don't know exactly what it is about Valentine's Day that appeals to me so, especially given that fact that I'm in a long distance relationship. I'm not a huge proponent of mindless capitalism, either. But there's something about the combination of historical gore (e.g., Valentinus getting mutilated by Roman soldiers) and crass commercialism (e.g., stuffed love zebras, not even kidding you) that I find morbidly fascinating. Plus, I've been eating so much free candy today, I can't tell if I'm sugar high or crazy.

Confession: I keep asking people about their weekends so I can tell them I slept in a snow cave.

In other news, I slept in a SNOW CAVE.

And now I feel badass.
